Direct answer

Hustlers University is legit in the plain sense: it is a real, paid online course platform that still runs today under a new name, The Real World. The official About page says New Era Learning LLC acquired the Hustler's University brand in 2022 and launched The Real World as a rebuilt platform with its own app. On October 19, 2026, the official checkout showed the Conquer plan at $99 a month, or $996 a year, with every campus included. The scam and MLM labels mostly trace back to 2022, when The Observer reported that members earned a 48% commission for each person they referred and were told to flood social media with clips. That referral scheme was reported shut down in August 2022. Whether HU is worth it now depends on you: it suits people who will apply the lessons most days and can afford to lose the fee. It does not suit anyone who needs guaranteed income, a qualification or a refund.

Most Hustlers University reviews online were written in 2022, when HU was a Discord server with a different price and a referral scheme that drew heavy criticism. This review covers what HU is in October 2026, the evidence on whether it is legit, where the scam and MLM claims come from, and who it is worth paying for now. For the full review of the current membership, see is The Real World worth it.

What is Hustlers University now?

Hustlers University is now The Real World. The official About page describes HU as “an online community teaching income skills, founded by Andrew Tate and run on Discord”. It goes on: “In 2022 New Era Learning LLC acquired the Hustler’s University brand and launched The Real World, a rebuilt platform with its own application and curriculum.”

So a “Hustlers University review” in 2026 is really a review of The Real World. There is no separate HU product, plan or checkout. What changed between the two (the app, the campus list, the price) is covered in Hustlers University vs The Real World.

One detail from the trademark records: a US trademark application for HUSTLERS UNIVERSITY (serial 98119561), filed in August 2023 by Defied Trust Digital Trading – FZCO LLC, was abandoned on January 6, 2025, according to USPTO records checked on October 19, 2026. The name lives on mostly in search results and old reviews.

Is Hustlers University legit?

Yes, in the sense that it is a real business selling a real product. Here is what can be checked on the official pages, as of October 19, 2026:

What to check What the official pages show
Who runs it New Era Learning LLC, which the About page says owns and operates the platform
Where you pay The official checkout at jointherealworld.com
Price Conquer: $99 a month or $996 a year. Vanguard: $499 a month, shown as sold out
What you get Access to every campus, lessons, live broadcasts and member chats in The Real World app
Income promise None. The Terms of Use say NEL “does not guarantee that use of the Subscriptions will result in any particular financial, business or commercial outcome”
Refunds The subscription policy says fees are “generally non-refundable once the Subscription period has commenced”

Prices checked on October 19, 2026 at the official checkout.

Legit does not mean it is right for you. The deeper checks, including how to spot look-alike sites that call themselves “official”, are in is The Real World legit, and the company details are in who owns The Real World.

Why do people call Hustlers University a scam?

Most of the “scam” talk is about the 2022 version of HU, not the current app. Three things drive it:

  1. The 2022 referral scheme. This is the main one, covered in the next section.
  2. The marketing. HU spread through short clips of its founder posted by members, which is how many people first heard of it.
  3. The fee with no guaranteed return. Paying does not produce results on its own, and the platform says so. The Terms of Use say “Individual results depend on numerous factors”, and the About page says it is not for you if “You want a formal qualification or a guarantee of income.”

This site does not call HU or The Real World a scam. Members pay a fee and get the access they paid for. Whether that access pays off depends on how much of it they use.

Andrew Tate founded Hustlers University, according to the About page. His separate legal cases are not covered in this review, which is about the course.

Is Hustlers University an MLM?

The MLM and pyramid-scheme claims go back to the summer of 2022:

  • What was reported. On August 6, 2022, The Observer reported that HU members were told they could earn money “by recruiting others to Hustler’s University, earning 48% commission for each person they refer”. It also reported that members were told to flood social media with the most controversial clips, which experts it quoted called a “blatant attempt to manipulate the algorithm”.
  • What happened next. On August 20, 2022, Pedestrian.TV, citing The Guardian, reported that the referral scheme had been shut down, after Tate was banned from several social platforms.
  • How critics framed it. In July 2022, Affiliate Daily News reported a TikTok creator’s claim that HU was a pyramid scheme, alongside a reader’s view that it was simply affiliate marketing. Those were opinions, not legal findings.

The US Federal Trade Commission draws the line like this: in a pyramid scheme, “your income would be based mostly on how many people you recruit, not how much product you sell.”

The current membership sells access to courses and chats for a fee. The official Terms of Use say nothing about referrals or recruiting, and nothing on the checkout asks a member to recruit anyone. Referral commissions still exist in some form, though. This site is paid a commission when a reader joins through its links, which is why that line sits under the byline.

Is Hustlers University worth it now?

It depends on how you would use it. The price went up: Hustlers University cost $49.99 a month for one campus, and The Real World costs $99 a month for every campus (the Hustlers University price guide covers the change). What you are paying for is set out above. What decides whether it is worth it is how much you apply.

It tends to be worth it if you:

  • can put in time most days, not just watch videos;
  • can afford to lose a month’s fee while you learn;
  • want a community of other members working on the same thing.

It is not worth it if you want a degree (see is Hustlers University accredited), a guaranteed income, or money back if it doesn’t suit you.

What a member since 2022 says about HU then and now

The person behind this site joined Hustlers University in 2022 and moved across to The Real World. In HU he joined the Ecommerce and Copywriting campuses, plus a marketing campus whose name he no longer remembers, to learn how to write copy and sell.

His experience of the move: HU ran in a Discord server, and when it became The Real World he found the videos, the text and the overall system better. In his words, it “felt like a real platform with a real community”. What stood out to him was that members post their wins and progress far more than in other communities he had seen, which kept him going before he had results of his own.

He says he nearly quit three or four times. Seeing other members’ progress is what kept him at it, and he kept researching until he got things working. He went on to build a new business and learn marketing, and reports that applying it to his family’s existing business added over 50% in extra revenue. That is one person’s reported experience, not a typical result. The Real World guarantees no income, and results vary from member to member.

His honest criticism: the platform doesn’t highlight members’ progress enough, so new members can mistake watching videos for progress.

When this doesn’t apply

  • You want a quick return. HU was sold on income, but nothing guarantees one. If you need the fee back within a month, don’t join.
  • You can’t afford to lose the fee. Fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started. Read how to cancel The Real World before you pay.
  • You want a credential. It is not a university and awards no degree.
  • You won’t put in the time. Access alone does nothing. Most of the value comes from applying the lessons.
  • You are reading a 2022 review. The price, platform and referral scheme it describes have changed. Check dates on anything you read, including this page (checked October 19, 2026).
  • You are comparing it with college. That is a different decision, covered in The Real World vs university.

What to do next

If you have read the evidence and still want in, compare the plans on the plan page, then continue to The Real World’s official checkout at jointherealworld.com. If you are not sure yet, the full review of whether The Real World is worth it goes deeper into costs and the community.

Related questions

Is Hustlers University legit?

Yes, in the sense that it is a real product. Hustlers University is now The Real World, a paid online learning platform owned and operated by New Era Learning LLC, sold on its own checkout at jointherealworld.com. Being legit does not mean it guarantees results; its own pages say it does not.

Is Hustlers University a scam?

This site does not call it one. Critics and some former members have used the word, mainly about the 2022 Discord era and its referral scheme. Members pay a monthly or yearly fee and get access to lessons, live sessions and chats, so whether it pays off depends on what they do with that access.

Is Hustlers University an MLM?

In 2022, critics described its referral scheme as pyramid-like, after The Observer reported members earning a 48% commission per referral. That scheme was reported closed in August 2022. Today's official Terms of Use say nothing about recruiting, and members pay for course access. Referral commissions still exist in some form: this site is paid one when a reader joins.

Is Hustlers University worth it in 2026?

It can be for people who will study and apply the lessons most days and can afford to lose the $99 monthly fee while they learn. It is not worth it for anyone who wants guaranteed income, a formal qualification or a quick return, and fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period starts.

Can you still join Hustlers University?

Not under that name. Hustlers University is no longer sold as a separate product. Joining today means buying The Real World membership on the official checkout at jointherealworld.com, where the Conquer plan was $99 a month on October 19, 2026.
