Direct answer

You can join The Real World from the UK, but it has no pound price. The official support page says membership is billed in US dollars, and the official checkout showed the Conquer plan at $99 a month or $996 a year on September 12, 2026. A UK card pays that dollar amount, converted into pounds by your bank or card issuer at its own exchange rate, and some cards add a foreign transaction fee. That means the pound figure on your statement can differ from month to month, and no fixed GBP price exists to quote. To see what you would pay, check your bank's current dollar rate and its fees, then look at your statement after the first charge. You cancel from your account settings, and access runs to the end of the period you paid for. The official policy says fees are generally non-refundable once a period has started, except where local law requires otherwise, and UK routes such as chargeback may apply. This is general information, not legal advice.

UK readers ask the same three things: what The Real World costs in pounds, whether a British card works, and what happens if they want their money back. The short version is that the platform is the same in the UK as anywhere else, but everything is priced and billed in US dollars. Every fact below comes from The Real World’s official checkout, support page and subscription policy, plus Citizens Advice for UK rights, with the dates they were checked. It is general information, not legal advice.

What is The Real World subscription price in the UK?

The UK price is the US price. The official checkout showed these plans on September 12, 2026:

Plan Price (USD) Notes
Conquer, monthly $99 a month Card payment
Conquer, yearly $996 a year Saves $192; crypto only when checked
Vanguard $499 a month Shown as “Sold Out” on October 25, 2026; only Conquer can be bought

From the official checkout, checked September 12, 2026; Vanguard re-checked October 25, 2026. The checkout says “All Prices Are Presented In USD”.

One Conquer membership includes every campus, so there is no extra charge for picking a different one. The price guide covers each plan in full.

How much is The Real World in pounds?

There is no fixed pound price, and this page doesn’t quote one. The official support page says: “Membership is billed in USD by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover.”

So when a UK card pays $99, your bank or card issuer turns that into pounds at its own exchange rate. Some cards also add a foreign transaction fee. The result:

  • the pound amount can change from one month to the next as the exchange rate moves;
  • two people on different cards can pay slightly different amounts for the same $99;
  • a fee, if your card charges one, sits on top of the converted price.

To work out your own figure:

  1. Look up your bank’s current US dollar rate, in its app or on its website.
  2. Check whether your card charges a fee for payments in a foreign currency.
  3. After the first payment, compare the pound amount on your statement with the $99 charge.

Some sites print a pound price for The Real World. Treat any such figure as an estimate from the day it was written, not as the price you will pay.

Can you join The Real World from the UK?

Yes. The official support page says membership is available internationally, and UK members join through the same official checkout as everyone else. There is no separate UK sign-up or UK plan.

The steps are the same as in the joining guide: compare the plans, open the official checkout at jointherealworld.com, choose monthly or yearly billing, pay, then log in at app.jointherealworld.com and choose a campus. When yearly billing was checked, it offered crypto payment only, so a UK card works with the monthly plan.

The official support page doesn’t separate debit cards from credit cards. If you plan to pay with a UK debit card, check with your bank that it accepts online payments in US dollars.

The person behind this site is based in the UK and has been a member since 2022, starting on Hustlers University when it cost $49.99 a month with all the courses included. Today, one $99 membership includes every campus.

How do you cancel The Real World from the UK?

Cancelling works the same way in every country. The official support page says: “You can cancel at any time in your account settings (the membership portal). To avoid the next charge, cancel before your next scheduled renewal payment is processed.”

Cancelling stops the next renewal; it doesn’t cut off access straight away. The support page says access “continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.” If you paid through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the official policy says that store’s billing and refund rules apply, so you cancel there. The cancellation guide has the full steps.

Can you get a refund from The Real World in the UK?

The official subscription policy says: “Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once the Subscription period has commenced.” The policy adds that consumer protection laws vary between countries and regions, and that “those mandatory rights apply to the extent required by applicable law.” It doesn’t mention the UK by name.

UK routes worth knowing about, according to Citizens Advice:

  • Cooling-off period. Citizens Advice says: “If you want to cancel a service you’ve arranged online, over the phone or by mail-order, you get a 14-day cooling-off period.” How that applies once you have started using an online course is a question to put to Citizens Advice.
  • Chargeback. If you paid by debit card and something went wrong, Citizens Advice says you can ask your bank for your money back using “chargeback”.
  • Section 75. If you paid by credit card, Citizens Advice points to Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act, “as long as you paid more than £100 and no more than £30,000.” A single $99 monthly payment is likely to fall below that once converted, so check the pound amount on your statement.

Contact The Real World’s support first. The official support page says requests outside the policy “may be considered at NEL’s discretion via support.” NEL is New Era Learning, the company behind the platform.

When this doesn’t apply

  • Prices and rates change. The dollar prices were checked on the official checkout on the dates shown, and exchange rates move daily. Confirm the price on the official checkout before you pay.
  • Crypto payments are different. Chargeback and Section 75 are card routes. They don’t cover a crypto payment, such as the yearly plan when it was checked, so ask support directly.
  • App store payments follow the store’s rules. If you joined through Apple or Google, cancel and ask about refunds there.
  • This isn’t legal or tax advice. Your rights depend on how and when you paid. For UK advice, contact Citizens Advice.
  • No earnings guarantee. The Real World says it does not guarantee any profits or financial success. Not earning the fee back isn’t a refund reason under the official policy.
  • It isn’t for quick money. If you want a get-rich-quick scheme, this is the wrong fit. The worth-it guide sets out who the platform suits and who it doesn’t.

What to do next

Check your bank’s US dollar rate and card fees, then compare the plans on the plan page. From there you go to The Real World’s official checkout to pay.
