The Real World's Crypto Investing campus reviewed: the Investing Masterclass and exam, what it costs beyond $99, the risks regulators warn about, and who should skip it.

Direct answer

The Crypto Investing campus is one of three crypto campuses in The Real World, the online learning platform formerly called Hustlers University. The official site says it covers "building a portfolio with bear markets in mind: how to accumulate, rebalance and plan when to take profit". Inside the app, as seen from the member account behind this site on October 26, 2026, its first course is THE INVESTING MASTERCLASS 3, and the campus roadmap runs through Masterclass lessons to an IMC Exam. The campus is included in the $99-a-month membership, but you invest your own money, and The Real World states no minimum. The official page says you need "capital you can afford to lose", and the UK regulator, the FCA, says anyone who invests in crypto should be prepared to lose all their money. Nothing taught is financial advice. It suits people who already have spare money they can put at risk and want a slow, rules-based approach. It doesn't suit anyone who needs that money or wants a guaranteed return.

The Crypto Investing campus is The Real World’s course on building a long-term crypto portfolio. The Real World is the online learning platform formerly called Hustlers University, and one membership opens every campus. This review uses the official Crypto Campus page, the app as seen from the member account behind this site, and the risk warnings of the UK and US regulators. It is not based on our own investing results, and it isn’t investment advice. For the other campuses, see the guide to The Real World campuses.

What does the Crypto Investing campus teach?

It teaches a rules-based way to build and manage a crypto portfolio over months and years, rather than trading day to day. The official crypto FAQ describes it like this: the Crypto Investing Campus “covers building a portfolio with bear markets in mind: how to accumulate, rebalance and plan when to take profit.”

The official courses card names three techniques: “Dollar-cost averaging, position sizing, rebalancing.” In plain English:

Term What it means
Dollar-cost averaging Buying a fixed amount at regular intervals instead of all at once
Position sizing Deciding how much of your money goes into each holding
Rebalancing Moving money between holdings to return to the mix you planned

The same card also says “We’ll show you what to buy, when to buy it, and when to take profit.” That is The Real World’s marketing. We haven’t verified it, and the official page also says nothing taught is financial advice.

The official site gives Crypto Investing no page of its own. It shares the Crypto Campus page with Crypto Trading, and the address /courses/crypto-investing returned “not found” when we checked on October 31, 2026. This site’s Crypto Investing campus page gathers the official details.

What is the Investing Masterclass, and how does the exam work?

The Investing Masterclass (members call it the IMC) is the campus’s main course. What follows is what the app showed the member account behind this site on October 26, 2026. We have not taken the exam.

The Learning Center opened with two courses: THE INVESTING MASTERCLASS 3, described as “The next generation of Multi-Asset Investing, and Wealth Management”, and Start Now. Four more were locked: THE CRYPTO INVESTING MASTERCLASS 2, Crypto Investing Signals, The Armory and Investing Analysis Video. The numbering suggests there were earlier versions of the Masterclass.

The Start Here channel shows a roadmap, in order of increasing difficulty:

  1. Start Here
  2. Tutorials
  3. Beginners Toolbox
  4. Fundamental Lessons
  5. Investing Lessons
  6. Investing Signals
  7. Masterclass Lessons
  8. IMC Exam
  9. IMC Post-Graduation Strategy Construction

The Crypto Investing Learning Center: The Investing Masterclass 3 and Start Now open, four courses locked
The Learning Center, 26 October 2026: two courses open at the start, four locked.

The last step, building your own strategy after the exam, matches what anonymous Reddit posts from 2024 and 2025 describe: graded levels after the exam in which you build your own investing system. Those posts are unverified, and we can’t confirm how grading works today.

Passing the exam is not a qualification. It is a course level inside a paid app, not a regulated or accredited credential. Don’t describe it as one on a CV or to clients.

Where can you find the Masterclass answers?

Not here. “The real world crypto masterclass answers” is a common search, but we don’t publish exam answers. The exam is there to check you understood the lessons before you manage money with them, and copied answers skip exactly that. Answers posted online may also be out of date, because the app was on the third version of the Masterclass in October 2026.

What are the investing signals?

The Crypto Investing Signals course card in the app reads: “Follow the professors portfolio in real time. Highly recommended you complete the Investing Masterclass first so you can get the maximum benefit from the signals.” It was locked for a new member on October 26, 2026.

Following someone else’s portfolio isn’t a plan of your own. The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) warns that fraudsters have used “algorithms that provide buy and sell signals to subscribers”, and its advice to anyone acting on someone else’s trades is to “Get a second opinion”. That is a general warning about signal services, not a finding about The Real World.

Who teaches it?

The official Crypto Campus page names no professor. The Real World’s 2023 campus banner for Crypto Investing reads “BY PROF. ADAM”, and the title card at the top of this page carries the same credit. We haven’t confirmed who teaches the campus today.

What does it cost beyond the $99 membership?

The campus is included in the membership: $99 a month on the official checkout, checked October 31, 2026, or $996 a year (last confirmed on October 19, 2026). On top of that:

  1. The money you invest. The Real World states no minimum. Its crypto FAQ says “You need capital you can afford to lose.”
  2. Exchange fees and spreads. These vary by exchange. The CFTC tells consumers to “consider the impact fees, spreads” and subscription costs would have on returns.
  3. Tax. The FCA notes that “tax may be payable on any gains”. Rules differ by country.
  4. Time. The official courses page says lessons are daily and “the checklist expects a few focused hours per day”.

The guide to whether you need money for The Real World compares the costs across campuses.

Crypto Investing or Crypto Trading?

Crypto Investing Trading Campus (Crypto Trading)
Official description Building a portfolio with bear markets in mind Technical analysis, entries and exits
Time frame Months and years Shorter; daily analysis and live streams
First course in the app (26 Oct 2026) THE INVESTING MASTERCLASS 3 Start Here, then The Foundation
Money needed Your own capital, at risk Your own capital, at risk

The official FAQ says: “Start with whichever matches your capital and time, and add the other whenever you want.” The Crypto Trading campus review covers the other side.

How active is the campus?

When we counted posts in the campus’s Crypto Wins channel on October 29 and 30, 2026, there were none on either day; the newest post was from October 25. That is a small sample, not a measure of the campus. It is still worth knowing that this channel moves far more slowly than the Trading Campus wins channel, which had 14 posts on October 29. The counts are on the Inside The Real World page.

When this doesn’t apply: the risks and limits

  • You can’t afford to lose the money. The FCA says crypto assets “are all high risk and speculative”. The US SEC’s investor site says the only money to put into a speculative investment is “money you can afford to lose entirely”.
  • “Long-term” doesn’t remove the risk. The FCA’s own dated example: the peak trading price of Bitcoin was on October 6, 2025, and by December 1, 2025 it had fallen 30.44%.
  • You have no capital yet. The Real World’s own crypto FAQ says: “If you have no capital yet, a campus that sells a skill is the place to start.”
  • You want a guarantee. The Real World’s Terms of Use say it “does not guarantee that use of the Subscriptions will result in any particular financial, business or commercial outcome.”
  • You want someone to decide for you. The official page says every decision, and every dollar you put in, is yours.
  • This review’s limits. It describes the official pages and the app’s course list on given dates. It doesn’t judge the quality of the lessons, and it reports no investment results, ours or anyone else’s.

What to do next

Read the Crypto Investing campus page for the app’s getting-started steps. If crypto is the only reason you’d join, read whether The Real World is worth it first, then see the plans on the plan page.

Related questions

What is the Investing Masterclass in The Real World?

It is the main course of the Crypto Investing campus. In the app on October 26, 2026 the first course was THE INVESTING MASTERCLASS 3, and the campus roadmap listed Masterclass Lessons, then the IMC Exam, then IMC Post-Graduation Strategy Construction. It is an internal course level, not a regulated qualification.

Where can I find The Real World crypto masterclass answers?

We don't publish them. The exam exists to check that you understood the lessons, and copied answers wouldn't teach you to manage your own money. Answers shared online may also be out of date, because the app was on version 3 of the Masterclass in October 2026.

Is the Crypto Investing campus good for beginners?

The official page says both crypto campuses start at the fundamentals. It also says you need capital you can afford to lose, and that if you have no capital yet, a campus that sells a skill is the place to start.

What is the difference between Crypto Investing and Crypto Trading?

The official FAQ says Investing covers building a portfolio with bear markets in mind, and Trading covers technical analysis, entries and exits. In the app they are separate campuses: Crypto Investing and Trading Campus. Both are in the same membership.

Does The Real World tell you which crypto to buy?

The official courses card says "We'll show you what to buy, when to buy it, and when to take profit". That is The Real World's marketing, not something we have verified. Nothing taught is financial advice, and every decision is yours.
