Which Real World Campus First? What Students Who Switched Say

Which Real World campus should you start with? The 12 campuses in the app today, six students who switched and why, the sign-up quiz, and how to choose.

Direct answer

Which Real World campus should you start with? Start with the one that sells a skill you will practise every day and needs no money you can't afford to lose. For most beginners that means Strategic Marketing (formerly Copywriting), AI Automation, AI Creative or Business Mastery; Ecommerce suits people with a small budget and the patience to test products. The Real World is an online learning platform, formerly Hustlers University, and one membership covers every campus open to you, so the first choice isn't permanent: you add another from "Add Campus" in the app. In The Real World's own interviews, at least six students switched. Saad and Giannis lost money in the crypto campus before moving on, Ryan left stocks for Ecommerce, and Ted moved from copywriting to freelancing to content creation. No campus is the fastest earner: nobody publishes results by campus, and results vary.

Which Real World campus should you start with? The Real World, the online learning platform formerly called Hustlers University, splits its lessons into campuses, each teaching one way to make money or one area of life. One membership covers every campus open to you, so the real question is where to begin. This page answers it with the campus list in the app today and with the students in The Real World’s own interviews who started in one campus and moved to another. For a description of every campus, see the guide to The Real World’s campuses and the campus pages.

Can you switch campuses in The Real World?

Yes. The membership isn’t tied to one campus. In the app, the “My Campuses” list in the Learning Center ends with “Add Campus”, and the students below moved between campuses without paying again. Some use several at once: Nicolas says “I’m in a total of seven campuses now” (0:48), Sotiris went through Ecommerce and Business Mastery (Sotiris’s case study), and Mena started in content creation and says “now I’m also in the e-commerce campus” (Mena’s case study).

One exception: the Marketing campus isn’t open to most members. According to the member behind this site, only seasoned members get access, so don’t join for it.

Which campuses are there today?

The campus list in the member account behind this site has twelve campuses (checked 26 October 2026). The money each one needs comes from The Real World’s own campus pages where it states one:

Campus What it teaches Money needed to start
Strategic Marketing (formerly Copywriting) Marketing and persuasive writing, sold to businesses None required
AI Automation AI automations for businesses None; AI tools may cost extra
AI Creative (formerly Content Creation + AI) Videos, pages and digital assets, and how to sell them Not stated; mostly a phone or computer and time
Business Mastery Sales and running a business None to begin, per the official page
Ecommerce An online store: products, the store, traffic A small budget for products and ads
Profit Systems Money-making systems and a local bootcamp, as shown in the app Not stated
Crypto Investing A crypto portfolio strategy Your own funds
Trading Campus Chart analysis and trade execution Your own funds
Crypto Altcoins Altcoin research; the official page calls it high risk Your own funds
Health & Fitness Workout and diet plans None
Self Improvement Mindset, habits and using The Real World None stated
Marketing Short-form video and social media Not open to most members

Two names from older lists and interviews aren’t in the app: Client Acquisition (once Freelancing) and Stocks. Many of the students below talk about them because they were filmed around 2023.

Which students switched campuses, and why?

At least six students in The Real World’s interviews describe starting in one campus and moving. In their own words, with the time in each video:

Student Path Why, in the student’s words
Saad Crypto, then Copywriting a week later “I started in the crypto campus. So, okay, I lost the money in crypto.” (0:39)
Giannis Copywriting, Crypto, then back to Copywriting, Marketing and Business Mastery “I joined the crypto campus. I’ve lost it all. I didn’t know what I was doing.” (1:32)
Ryan Stocks, then Ecommerce “I didn’t do too well in there. So I switched to e-commerce” (0:53)
Ted Copywriting, Freelancing, then Content Creation + AI Copywriting “just wasn’t my strong point” (1:18)
Seth (25, USA) Stocks, then Content Creation + AI when it opened “when the CC plus AI campus then opened, I then transferred over to that” (2:05)
Nicolas Copywriting first, now seven campuses, including Freelancing and AI Copywriting is “where I made my first money” (1:01)

This Seth is a different student from Seth, 19, in Seth’s case study. Giannis’s whole path is in Giannis’s case study.

Ted, from Kenya and interviewed by Tristan Tate, gives the longest path. Ted started in copywriting, went into the freelancing campus, tried personal training and coaching (“I wasn’t good at that”, 1:30), then found a skill for video editing. Ted landed clients with what the freelancing campus taught, and now works in content creation and AI, selling video editing and AI content to clients (2:24).

What do the switches have in common?

Four patterns, each from the students’ own words:

  • Losing money in crypto first. Saad and Giannis both started in, or moved to, a crypto campus without knowing what they were doing, and lost money. Both then moved to copywriting.
  • Not their strong point. Ted tried copywriting and coaching before finding video editing.
  • A better fit opened. Seth moved when the content creation campus launched.
  • Combining skills. Nicolas uses copywriting for marketing, freelancing for sales and pricing, and the AI campus for outreach and content in a family IT company. Shahraja makes the same point: “Freelancing helps with copywriting, copywriting helps with freelancing” (3:55).

Nobody in these interviews says the first campus was a waste. Several say it taught them what they weren’t suited to.

How did students choose their first campus?

  • A quiz at sign-up. Seth, 25, joined “what was then Hustlers University” and “took like the beginning quiz to figure out what I wanted to do” (0:59). In another video, Seth describes a course that went through “your skill set” and the capital you had, “and then what campus would best suit you” (0:24).
  • Being assigned. Belmin says: “I got assigned to the copywriting campus at the time because I was money poor and time poor” (1:01), and started at an hour a day. Belmin’s case study.
  • Filling a gap. Veteran G, from management consulting, looked through the campuses and picked copywriting: “I didn’t even have any idea what copywriting was” (0:40), but wanted to learn marketing.
  • Going straight in. Dan got access on November 23 and “The Sunday following, I had opened up the Amazon FBA campus” (1:24). Amazon FBA isn’t a separate campus today.
  • Fitting an existing business. Mena, who had run a business for eight years, started in content creation and “directly applied” what it taught to that business (0:51).

These students joined around 2023. The sign-up quiz may have changed since, and this site hasn’t checked the current version.

Which campus should you start with?

None of this is an official method. It’s what the campus pages, the interviews and the member behind this site suggest:

If you… Start with Why
Have no money to invest and can write and sell Strategic Marketing No capital needed. The biggest group of interviewed students was in this campus, and Saad and Giannis moved here after crypto
Like building systems more than talking to people AI Automation No capital needed, apart from AI tool subscriptions
Are creative and will post consistently AI Creative Mostly needs a phone or computer and time
Already run a business Business Mastery Needs no capital to begin; Nox and Ramy had businesses when they joined (Nox, Ramy)
Have a small budget and patience to test products Ecommerce Needs money for products and ads; Burak’s first sale left Burak “minus 70” on ads
Want to invest or trade Crypto Investing, Trading Campus or Crypto Altcoins only with money you can afford to lose Saad and Giannis lost money starting there. Nothing here is financial advice

Health & Fitness and Self Improvement aren’t money campuses. Asked about the fitness campus, students such as Earl and Giannis say they use it alongside their main campus.

If you’re unsure, the member behind this site suggests looking through every campus before choosing, since the membership covers them all.

What the member behind this site found

Gianluca joined in 2022, when it was Hustlers University, and took the Ecommerce and Copywriting campuses. What he has told us:

  • The first confusion was the campus. He didn’t know which campus fitted him or which ones made money, because he hadn’t gone through them all first.
  • Each campus opens with its professor. An introductory video explains why the campus matters, its biggest pitfalls and roughly how hard it is.
  • Fit matters more than the campus. In his view, Strategic Marketing suits people who are good at sales and talking; AI Automation suits people who like systems; Ecommerce suits patient people who will test several products; the content campus suits creative, disciplined people.
  • Every campus needs some money, in his view: AI subscriptions, hosting or ads, even where The Real World lists no capital.

His own campus reviews are linked from the campus pages.

What this page can’t tell you

  • Which campus earns most. The Real World publishes no results by campus, and each campus has only a handful of interviews, chosen by the platform.
  • What the campuses are like for you. The interviews are mostly from 2023, before several renames and new campuses.
  • That switching is free of cost. The membership covers the campuses, but time spent in the wrong one is still time, and money lost in crypto stays lost.
  • Any outcome. The Real World’s Terms of Use say it doesn’t guarantee any financial outcome. Results vary.

For what students earned and how long it took, see how much Real World students say they make and how long until your first client or sale. For a graded answer to whether it works at all, see does The Real World work.

What to do next

Read the campus page for the campus you’re leaning towards, then the review of whether The Real World is worth it. If you’ve decided, the current plans are on the plan page.

Related questions

Can you switch campuses in The Real World?

Yes. One membership covers every campus that's open to you, and the app's campus list has an "Add Campus" option. Students in The Real World's interviews moved between campuses, and Nicolas says: "I'm in a total of seven campuses now."

What is the best campus in The Real World?

There isn't one best campus. The Real World publishes no results by campus, and each campus has only a handful of student interviews. The best first campus is the one whose daily work you will actually do.

Which Real World campus makes money fastest?

Nobody can say. In the interviews, the fastest first money came from Dan's Amazon FBA sale after about 12 days and Earl's first copywriting client after two to three weeks, but those are selected stories, not averages.

Is there a quiz to choose a campus?

Students who joined around 2023 describe one. Seth took "the beginning quiz to figure out what I wanted to do", and Belmin was assigned to copywriting for being money poor and time poor. The sign-up flow may have changed since.

Are Client Acquisition and Stocks still campuses?

Neither is in The Real World app's campus list as of 26 October 2026, so this page doesn't suggest starting with either. Both appear in older interviews and older campus lists.
