The Real World Business Mastery Review: What It Teaches
The Real World's Business Mastery campus (once Business & Finance) reviewed: what it teaches, what you need to start, who it suits and how it differs from Client Acquisition.

Direct answer
Business Mastery is the campus in The Real World that teaches sales, leadership and running a business. The official campus page says it covers "how to start a business and how to scale the one you have", suits first-time founders and existing owners, and "needs no capital to begin" (checked October 31, 2026). Its own FAQ says the campus starts you with a business that sells a service, because "all that takes is a laptop, a phone and effort". Earlier official banners called it Business & Finance. Inside the app, the campus opens on a roadmap that splits on one question, "Already have a business?", and its Learning Center includes courses called Business Masterclass and Long Form Arno. It is included in the same membership as every other campus: $99 a month on the official checkout. It doesn't suit anyone looking for an investing course, anyone who won't sell, or anyone who can only give it the odd hour. The Real World doesn't guarantee any financial outcome.
Business Mastery is the campus in The Real World, the online learning platform formerly called Hustlers University, that teaches selling and running a business. This review uses three sources: the official campus page (checked October 31, 2026), what the campus shows inside the app from the member account behind this site (October 26, 2026), and the students The Real World interviewed. It isn’t a first-hand account of working through the campus. For every campus side by side, see the guide to The Real World campuses; for the verdict on the membership as a whole, see whether The Real World is worth it.
What does the Business Mastery campus teach?
The official page sums the campus up in one line: it “teaches sales, leadership and running operations: how to start a business and how to scale the one you have”. Its headline is “Master Sales and Start a Profitable Business”, and the lessons are grouped into three blocks:
| Block | What the official page lists |
|---|---|
| Business psychology | “Become a master persuader & smooth operator”, verbal and non-verbal communication, picking up on “emotional leakage” |
| Advanced sales | Reading people and “Advanced sales methods” |
| Business knowledge | “How to turn any idea into a business” and spotting opportunities |
After that, the page says, you learn “full control of your operations, hiring, and finances”, then scaling. The campus FAQ says the same in plainer words: “How to sell, how to run a business and how to grow one.”
Selling runs through all of it. The FAQ says “Selling is taught from the first lessons”, and that you practise on real conversations and bring the ones that go wrong to the campus chat or the live Q&A.
Is Business Mastery the old Business & Finance campus?
Yes, in name. Official campus banners from October 2023 read “Business & Finance”, and an older official thumbnail reads “Finance and Business Campus”. Today the official page calls it the Business Mastery Campus and its menu calls it the “Business Campus”.
What the old name doesn’t mean: this is not an investing course. The official page today lists sales, operations, hiring and the money side of running a business. Markets are taught in the crypto campuses. The Real World hasn’t said whether the Business & Finance lessons carried over, so this review describes only what is there now.
Who teaches Business Mastery?
Professor Arno. The member behind this site confirms that Arno runs the campus today (October 31, 2026). The official page doesn’t name anyone. It says the campus is “taught by a professor who runs businesses for a living”. Other sources point to the same name:
- The 2023 official banner at the top of this page reads “Business & Finance by Prof. Arno”.
- Inside the app (October 26, 2026), the Learning Center has a course called Long Form Arno, meant for “when you have 20+ minutes of time available”.
- Students name him too. In one of The Real World’s interviews, Ronan calls Arno “the Business Mastery professor” (see Ronan’s case study).
On October 29, 2026, the campus professor announced a live call for the next day about making his step-by-step procedures available to members’ AI tools, updated weekly. That is recorded on our What’s new inside The Real World page.
What does the campus look like inside the app?
The Start Here channel ends with a “BM Intro” card and the Business Mastery Roadmap. The roadmap splits on one question, “Already have a business?”:
| Your answer | The roadmap’s route |
|---|---|
| No | 30 Days To $10k/Month (“Build Your Own Marketing Agency”), then the Business Masterclass |
| Yes | The Business Masterclass first (“Sharpen Your Business Skills”), then 30 Days To $10k/Month (“To Learn SEO and Paid Ads”) |

The Learning Center holds six courses: Start Here, 30 days to 10k/Month In 2026, Claude Lessons (“This is how we will use AI to make your business more money”), Business Masterclass, Daily Tate Lessons and Long Form Arno. A course title that names a figure is a title, not a promise of income.
Daily channels sit under “Check this daily to make $$$”, such as Daily GM and Daily SEO Task, and under “Homework / Marketing”: Content In A Box, Daily Business Puzzle and Google-Domination. The Business Mastery campus page on this site has the full step-by-step start.
Do you need money or an existing business to start?
No, according to the official FAQ: “The campus starts you with a business that sells a service, because all that takes is a laptop, a phone and effort.” It names the practical route as “advertising and online growth”: build an offer, find the businesses that need it, close them, then reinvest what you earn. “Members who already own a business skip ahead” to the sales and scaling material.
What it does cost:
- The membership. Business Mastery is included in the one membership: $99 a month on the official checkout (checked October 31, 2026), or $996 a year when we last checked the yearly price on October 19, 2026. See The Real World price breakdown.
- Time. The official courses page says “the checklist expects a few focused hours per day”.
- Anything you spend on your own business. The roadmap’s “Yes” route mentions paid ads. If you run ads for your own business, that spend comes on top. The Real World gives no figure for it.

Business Mastery or Client Acquisition?
The official FAQ answers this directly. Business Mastery “teaches you to build and run the business: sales, operations, people and money”. Client Acquisition “teaches one skill inside that: landing paying clients for a service”. Then: “If you do not have a business yet and want the fastest route to a first paying client, Client Acquisition is the narrower path and Business Mastery the wider one.”
| Campus | Main skill (official wording, shortened) | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| Business Mastery | Sales, operations, people and money | Starting a business, or running one already |
| Client Acquisition | Landing paying clients for a service | The fastest route to a first client |
| Strategic Marketing | Persuasive writing and marketing | People who are good with words |
| AI Automation | Building and selling AI systems | People who like building systems |
One catch on Client Acquisition: the official site still lists it, but it wasn’t in the app’s campus list on October 26, 2026. The Client Acquisition campus review explains what that means.
What have Business Mastery students said?
Three students in The Real World’s own interviews are linked to Business Mastery, and each has a case study on this site. Nox names the campus; for Ramy and Terell it is The Real World’s caption. Any figure in them is the student’s own account, not a typical result.
- Nox spent 10 years in consulting, quit, and joined with about three grand left.
- Ramy already ran a web design agency, about two years old, when joining. It is an existing-business story, not a from-zero one.
- Terell had tried other courses on marketing and making money online first, and says “all those flopped”.
The campus’s own wins channel is busy: on Thursday October 29, 2026, BM Wins had 15 new posts, as counted on our What’s new page. Posting a win isn’t the same as typical earnings.
Who is Business Mastery right for?
From the official page, it fits:
- First-time founders who want the general skills every business needs, not one business model.
- Existing owners. The FAQ says that if your business already earns, the campus works on “a sales process that does not depend on you”, hiring and managing the money.
- Beginners at selling. No sales experience is needed; selling is taught from the first lessons.
Who should skip it?
- People who want an investing course. Despite the old “Business & Finance” name, the campus is about running a business.
- People who won’t sell. The official page opens with “Everything Is A Sale…”, and the service-business start means finding and closing clients yourself.
- People who can give it only the odd hour. The official courses page says “Members who treat it as a side interest see little.”
- People who want the narrowest route to a first client. The official FAQ points them to Client Acquisition.
What do people get wrong about Business Mastery?
- “You’ll have millionaires by your side 24/7.” That is the official page’s marketing (“millionaires by your side”). We can’t check it, so treat it as a sales line.
- “It has tens of thousands of students.” Some unofficial sites print a student count for this campus. The official page gives none.
- “You need a business first.” The official FAQ says no.
When this doesn’t apply
- The app changes. Course names, the roadmap and the channels are as they were on October 26, 2026. The official page wording is as checked on October 31, 2026.
- No first-hand verdict yet. This review doesn’t include the site owner’s own experience of the campus.
- Not a business plan. Nothing here tells you which business to start or what it will earn.
- No guaranteed results. The Real World’s own Terms of Use say it doesn’t guarantee that the subscription “will result in any particular financial, business or commercial outcome”.
