At a glance
Who
Terell. The Real World’s caption gives the age as 28 and shows a US flag; Terell doesn’t state an age or a country in the video.
Starting point
“I had taken a few courses just on, like, SMMA and just how to market” (1:03), “pretty much how to make money online”: “all those flopped” (1:16).
Campus
The caption says Business Mastery. Terell doesn’t name a campus, and credits “speed” (0:08), the material and the community.
Timeline
“so far this year”, “the last four to five months” (0:43). The video doesn’t name the year; it was on The Real World’s home page by 8 June 2023.
Result (video)
“I’ve probably made about 30K probably the last four to five months here” (0:43). A total, not a monthly figure; no currency, and revenue or profit not said.
Result (caption)
The Real World’s caption: “New revenue: $6k/month”; that Terell “found the knowledge” that was missing after a “first business failed”; and “Since joining” has “generated $30,000” and “now owns several different businesses in the solar niche, all in less than 5 months” (quoted without the pronouns).
The caption and Terell agree on about 30,000 in under five months; the caption adds the dollar sign and calls it revenue, and its “$6k/month” is about what 30,000 over five months works out to. The caption’s other details, a “first business” that failed and “several different businesses in the solar niche”, aren’t in the video: Terell talks about earlier courses that “flopped”, and doesn’t say what the business is. The figures are Terell’s and The Real World’s own; this site hasn’t seen the accounts.
What Terell said
6 lines from the interview, copied exactly, each with what it means in plain English. The times are where they fall in the video.

“I’ve probably made about 30K probably the last four to five months here.”
What it means: A total over four to five months, by Terell’s account. No currency; revenue or profit not said.
“Needless to say, all those flopped.”
What it means: Terell had paid for other courses first, on marketing and making money online, and they didn’t work out.
“Like, a lot of the information was outdated.”
What it means: Why, in Terell’s view: the other courses weren’t current, and “it wasn’t nearly as easy as they made it seem”.
“it seems like you guys update everything like twice a day at least.”
What it means: Terell’s impression of how often The Real World’s material changes. Terell’s words, not a published schedule.
“You can log on there at two, three in the morning and guys are chatting.”
What it means: The community, by Terell’s account: active at all hours, “people are dropping tips”.

Transcribed on 30 October 2026 from the interview audio with Whisper speech recognition (run locally): a first pass on 26 October, then two more full passes with the medium and small models; punctuation fixed, fillers and false starts dropped, nothing added; “[unclear]” marks words the passes don’t agree on. At 0:34 the readings differ (“get you done”, “get shit done”) and the word is marked [unclear]. “SMMA” (1:03) is heard as “SMA” in one reading; it usually stands for a social media marketing agency, which Terell doesn’t spell out. At 4:11 the readings differ on the start of a sentence about the middle class, marked [unclear]. Speaker labels are ours. The interviewer is from The Real World, not a Tate. The 50 bucks mentioned was the price at the time; today it is $99 a month on the official checkout.
0:00 Interviewer: What have you been doing so far, and how has The Real World contributed to it?
0:04 Terell: Oh, man, The Real World has helped me immensely. I mean, definitely the main thing that I've learned is definitely speed. And I feel like in the age of, you know, YouTube and Google and just so much e-learning and so much information out there, I feel like, man, like, you can upgrade yourself as a human. So, you know, so you have all the skills necessary to really dominate. So yeah, it's definitely taught me about how to work with speed, how to get [unclear] done.
0:36 Interviewer: So now in terms of figures, what could you relate to The Real World, and in what time span?
0:43 Terell: Yeah, so I've probably made so far this year, I've probably made about 30K probably the last four to five months here.
0:53 Interviewer: How different is the material you've seen within The Real World compared to what's out there on the internet?
0:58 Terell: So I had actually spent, man, I spent, what was that? Well, I had taken a few courses just on, like, SMMA and just how to market and how to do a bunch of different things, pretty much how to make money online. Needless to say, all those flopped. Yeah, it just wasn't really realistic as far as what to expect, you know. Like, a lot of the information was outdated. It wasn't nearly as efficient as people say. It wasn't nearly as easy as they made it seem. Like I said, all these guys are on YouTube with the cars and the girls and the mansions. And it's not that easy. It's not that easy. So the material in The Real World is definitely a lot easier to digest. I feel like it's a lot more streamlined. I mean, it seems like you guys update everything like twice a day at least. And just really, I think one of the biggest things with it is just having that community aspect, and just having a group of, it's like a family, you know, having a group of like-minded individuals. Just for me at least, it's really just knowing that somebody else is out there, somebody else out there is really working just as hard. I think that for me, that keeps me motivated. Like, myself being a very highly motivated person, it definitely helps, just knowing that, you know, there's other guys out there that are like-minded, that are willing to push themselves to become great. I think that's super, super motivating. You can log on there at two, three in the morning and guys are chatting. Guys are going at it. You know, people are dropping tips. People are getting better. I think that being in a community like this is super, super great. I'm super grateful for it, because there's nothing like it around. There's nothing like it around. Most people are just so, so lazy, man. Most people are so lazy, and people are unmotivated, so it's hard to find like-minded individuals.
3:10 Interviewer: For people who are still unsure about joining The Real World, maybe like you used to, they think, what if it's a scam? What advice would you have for them?
3:22 Terell: I mean, honestly, though, there's two ways that I view it. The first one is, I mean, really, what do you have to lose? Like, really, I mean, if you're okay just doing what you're doing, I mean, you can live a mediocre life. I mean, that's on you. Like, you really have nothing to lose. Like, 50 bucks. You see the results; the results speak for themselves. Yeah, like, I would just do it, because you're wasting time every single day. People are making more and more money, and the separation between the top tier, the upper class, and the others is getting wider. You see the way that the system is trying to separate us. In the next 20, 30 years, [unclear] the middle class is going to be gone. Like, our generation is, you know, it's going to be a struggle, like the middle class, because there's so much money online. There's so much money online that, you know, so many people are getting into wealth at a lot younger age. But yeah, I'd say, you know, A, what do you have to lose? And B, honestly, if people don't want to join, I mean, that's more money for us.

What the Business Mastery campus offers
What the Business Mastery campus looks like from a member’s account, how a new member starts, and what the support is like. The Business Mastery campus page covers what it teaches.

How you get started
Join and pick Business Mastery
One membership covers every campus: $99 a month or $996 a year on the official checkout. The official campus page says it “needs no capital to begin”.
Open Start Here
The first channel under “START HERE TO MAKE MONEY”. Its post ends “Now Click On The Button Below To Get To 10k+/Mo And Beyond.” and links to the “BM Intro” lesson.
Follow the roadmap
The Business Mastery Roadmap asks “Already have a business?” No: “30 Days To $10k/Month” (“Build Your Own Marketing Agency”), then the Business Masterclass (“Master Critical Business Skills”). Yes: the Business Masterclass first (“Sharpen Your Business Skills”), then “30 Days To $10k/Month” (“To Learn SEO and Paid Ads”). Both lead to “Reach $10k Per Month” and “Apply and join $10k+/month club!”
Work through the Learning Center
The courses on show: Start Here, “30 days to 10k/Month In 2026” (“a step-by-step, day-by-day plan”, the card says), Claude Lessons, the Business Masterclass (“sales, marketing, networking, outreach, and much, much more”), Daily Tate Lessons and Long Form Arno. The channels under “CHECK THIS DAILY TO MAKE $$$” add a Daily GM, a Daily Tate Lesson and a Daily SEO Task.
Work at speed
What Terell took from it most: “how to work with speed, how to get [unclear] done” (0:31), in material that is “a lot more streamlined” than the courses Terell had tried before (1:51).
What support is like
- Chats. The channel list a member sees: Start Here, BM Announcements, BM Wins, Leaderboard and Introduce Yourself, then the daily channels and “HOMEWORK / MARKETING” (Content In A Box, Daily Business Puzzle, Google-Domination). Terell: “You can log on there at two, three in the morning and guys are chatting” (2:40); “people are dropping tips”. That is Terell’s account. The Real World publishes no response-time promise.
- Professor. The public campus page names no professor; it says the campus “is taught by a professor who runs businesses for a living”. Inside the app one course is called “Long Form Arno”. Terell doesn’t name a professor, but says “it seems like you guys update everything like twice a day at least” (1:55).
- BM Wins and the Leaderboard. The campus has its own wins channel and a leaderboard (Start Here screenshot). No posts from it have been captured for this site yet.
- No guarantee. The Real World’s Terms of Use say it doesn’t guarantee any financial outcome. Every campus starts from the fundamentals and assumes no prior knowledge.
Real wins and reviews
No posts from the Business Mastery campus’s own #wins channel have been captured for this site yet, so these are other members’ wins from across The Real World, with names and avatars blurred (any that show this campus come first). Tap any screenshot to see it full size. They are individual results, not typical ones, and not a promise: The Real World doesn’t publish average member earnings.

What members said on Trustpilot
Trustpilot has since removed The Real World’s profiles. These excerpts come from archived copies of those pages, read on 25 October 2026, with the reviewer’s first name, country and date as shown; “Invited” is Trustpilot’s label for reviews that came through a business link. The jointherealworld.com.de profile was not run by The Real World; reviewers used it anyway. They are reviews of The Real World as a whole, not of one campus, and other people’s words, not this site’s findings.
“The biggest thing for me, besides the lessons and the professors, is the community. You have a problem, ask a question in chat, fixed in 5 minutes.”
“after a month, I informed them that their services were not suitable for me. Despite my clear communication, they attempted to withdraw a significant amount of money from my credit card for an additional two months.”
The Real World replied: “turn off auto-renew before your next billing date.”
“Most the informaton you could find for free online in other places but you'll spend more time trying to find a simple step by step guide then using this platform.”
“Despite paying $49 per month (around $300 total), I didn't make any money or gain valuable insights. Much of the content was outdated and U.S.-focused”
“the campuses are also perfect if you are completely new to these methods of wealth creation but it'll take you some time before you see results.”
“The courses themselves are okay, but they're difficult to apply, and getting real clients is even harder. Overall, I don't think this works.”
For the record, the scores on 27 February 2025: the profile at trwstudent.com showed 2.9 from 23 reviews, and therealworldeducation.com showed 4.4 from 82, most of them invited through a business link over two days. Both profiles have since been removed.
Is this path for you?
It may suit you if
- You have tried other courses and found them out of date. Terell: “a lot of the information was outdated”.
- You want people working at the same pace around you. Terell: “knowing that somebody else out there is really working just as hard”.
- You want to learn to work faster. Terell: “the main thing that I’ve learned is definitely speed”.
- You want the general skills every business needs, sales and communication above all, rather than one business model.
It may not suit you if
- You read “about 30K” as a monthly income or as profit. It is Terell’s total for four to five months, and Terell doesn’t say whether it is revenue or profit.
- You want the solar businesses from the caption explained. Terell doesn’t describe the business in the video.
- You can only give it the odd hour. The official courses page says “the checklist expects a few focused hours per day” and that “Members who treat it as a side interest see little.”
- You need a guaranteed return. The Real World’s Terms of Use say it doesn’t guarantee any financial outcome, and Terell’s figures are Terell’s own.
Terell’s numbers are one student’s account, given in an interview The Real World chose to publish. For the campus itself, see the Business Mastery campus page and the guide to The Real World campuses.
