At a glance
Who
Bando: the caption gives the name as “Bando Billionaire”, the age as 19 and a US flag. Bando says “right now I’m in the Bronx” (1:21) and doesn’t state an age.
Starting point
“sort of chaotic in the way I was doing things” and “not being able to niche down to a specific lane” (0:25). Bando also says: “I dropped out of high school … Didn’t go to college, self-educated myself” (4:13).
Campus
Freelancing, in the caption and in Bando’s words: “I’m a little biased, you know, since I’m in the freelancing campus” (1:47).
Timeline
Joined “late December, maybe the first week of January” (0:00); the 12k is for “the last two months” (0:14). The video gives no year; it was on The Real World’s home page by 8 June 2023.
Result (video)
“I’ve made 12k profit in the last two months since I’ve joined The Real World” (0:14), and “I’ve made 10K in a month, you know, basically a month after I joined” (4:07). Profit, in Bando’s word; no currency.
Result (caption)
The Real World’s caption: “New revenue: $6k/month”, and “After applying lessons from the Freelancing Campus… Bando earned $12,000 within 2 months of joining The Real World.”
The caption and Bando agree on 12,000 in two months. The caption adds the dollar sign; Bando calls it profit, the caption’s headline calls it revenue ($6k a month, the two-month figure halved). Bando’s “10K in a month” is the second month by Bando’s account; Bando doesn’t say what the first month made. The figures are Bando’s and The Real World’s own; this site hasn’t seen them.
What Bando said
7 lines from the interview, copied exactly, each with what it means in plain English. The times are where they fall in the video.
“I’ve made 12k profit in the last two months since I’ve joined The Real World.”
What it means: Bando’s headline figure, and one of the few interviews that says profit. No currency.
“before joining The Real World, I was sort of chaotic in the way I was doing things”
What it means: Bando was already working before joining; the change was focus.
“niche down, not be so general, and just focus on providing as much value as I can to that specific group of people”
What it means: What Bando credits: one niche and one offer, instead of everything for everyone.
“I’ve learned a lot about how to land clients on social media and how to reach out to people in the DMs, also how to grow a Twitter.”
What it means: How Bando finds clients: outreach in direct messages and an audience on Twitter (now X).
“it’s not based on one particular skill. You know, it’s just giving you the frameworks”
What it means: Bando’s view of the freelancing campus: a method for selling a skill, not one skill.
“You could just drop a question in one of the chats and somebody is going to answer you”
What it means: Bando’s account of support then; The Real World publishes no response-time promise.
“I dropped out of high school, you know what I mean? Didn’t go to college, self-educated myself.”
What it means: No degree behind the result, by Bando’s account.

Transcribed on 5 November 2026 from the interview audio with Whisper speech recognition (run locally): a first pass on 25 October, then two more full passes with the medium and small models; punctuation fixed, fillers and false starts dropped, nothing added. At 1:00 two readings hear “the freelancing camp is”, one “campus”; “campus” is used. “Bando Billionaire” is the name The Real World’s caption gives; this site uses “Bando”. The video is edited: the answer at 1:42 follows no question on screen, and the question at 2:09 refers to baseball, which isn’t in this cut. Speaker labels are ours. The interviewer is from The Real World, not a Tate. The $50 a month mentioned was the price at the time; today it is $99 a month on the official checkout.
0:00 Bando: Right, so I joined The Real World, I would say, late December, maybe the first week of January.
0:08 Interviewer: Could you clarify the total amount of money you've made in the time that you've been in The Real World?
0:14 Bando: Right, so I've made 12k profit in the last two months since I've joined The Real World.
0:20 Interviewer: How did The Real World contribute to that win of 12k within two months?
0:25 Bando: Right, so before joining The Real World, I was sort of chaotic in the way I was doing things, and I would say as far as me not being able to niche down to a specific lane and really focus on creating an offer that was targeted for a specific group of clients. And The Real World has really helped me, like I said, niche down, not be so general, and just focus on providing as much value as I can to that specific group of people. The freelancing campus specifically is very tailored to anybody. Even if you have no prior experience, they'll really take you from step one, you know, to figuring out your niche, all the way to landing your first client and even scaling from there. I've learned a lot about how to land clients on social media and how to reach out to people in the DMs, also how to grow a Twitter. To throw some context, right now I'm in the Bronx, and it's crazy. If I walk outside, I look at 100 people, I guarantee 97 out of 100 are working a job. You know what I mean? So I feel like, you know, that's the value that The Real World provides.
1:42 Bando: For $50 a month, you can learn, whether it's e-commerce, Amazon FBA. You know, I'm a little biased, you know, since I'm in the freelancing campus. And I would say, you know, you should join the freelancing campus because really it's not based on one particular skill. You know, it's just giving you the frameworks, giving you the education, and just everything you would need to develop a skill.
2:09 Interviewer: Do you feel a similar sense of brotherhood from The Real World community that you did when you were playing baseball with your team?
2:18 Bando: Yeah, exactly, because everybody's in the group. We're all striving towards the same goal, which is financial freedom. And everybody in The Real World is very, very helpful. Don't feel ashamed to reach out and ask a question. You could just drop a question in one of the chats and somebody is going to answer you, which I love. I appreciate that.
2:39 Interviewer: What advice would you have to people who are considering joining The Real World?
2:43 Bando: I would say for you to just start. Start and invest into yourself. The only person that's holding you back is, you know, is really you versus you. You know, and $50 a month is very feasible for anybody. But if you really want to just go from where you're at, it doesn't matter if you're working a job. It doesn't matter if you have a business right now. If you join The Real World, I guarantee that is going to just make you a better person overall. It's not only, you know, just the steps on how to make money as a freelancer or whatever other campuses, it's also mindset. They also have like a fitness, you know, tab in there, to where you can upload, you know, your progress, and just the whole community of like-minded individuals that are on the same path as you. And, you know, I take that saying quite literally: you are the five people that you surround yourself with. So surround yourself with winners, hop into the group. And there's really no reason why you should, you know, be still thinking about whether you should join The Real World or not. I think there's a lot of success stories out there. You can just look on YouTube, you know, you can look on these interviews that, you know, that we're doing. But you should definitely hop in, and don't be afraid. Because look, I joined, you know, two months ago, you know, I've made 10K in a month, you know, basically a month after I joined. You know, so if I can do it, you know, I dropped out of high school, you know what I mean? Didn't go to college, self-educated myself. So don't feel like, you know, you're behind, or don't feel ashamed, you know what I mean, of where you're at in life. It doesn't matter if you don't have a job, if you're just flat broke. Find a way to make $50, make the payment of $50 a month, and I guarantee you it's going to change the future outcome of your life.

What The Real World offers today
Bando was in the campus The Real World’s caption calls Freelancing, and Bando calls it “the freelancing campus”. There is no campus by that name today: the “My Campuses” list in the owner’s account on 26 October 2026, after adding the campuses on offer, has twelve, and none is called Freelancing. The Real World hasn’t said what it became, so this page doesn’t point you to a campus page in its place. Below: the app’s campus list today, how a new member starts, and what support is like. For selling a service, the official courses page lists Client Acquisition among the campuses that “sell a skill instead of a product”; that is the official page’s grouping, not a statement about Bando’s campus.

How you get started
Join and add campuses
One membership covers every campus: $99 a month or $996 a year on the official checkout. Inside the app you add campuses from the “My Campuses” list.
Choose where to start
With no budget, the official courses page points to Client Acquisition, Strategic Marketing or AI Automation, which “sell a skill instead of a product”.
Pick a niche and one offer
What Bando learned first: “niche down, not be so general” (0:50), with “an offer that was targeted for a specific group of clients” (0:39).
Reach out where your clients are
Bando: “how to land clients on social media and how to reach out to people in the DMs, also how to grow a Twitter” (1:16).
What support is like
- The chats. Bando: “You could just drop a question in one of the chats and somebody is going to answer you” (2:34). That is Bando’s account of the campus then; The Real World publishes no response-time promise.
- The community. Bando: “We’re all striving towards the same goal, which is financial freedom” (2:21), and “surround yourself with winners” (3:39).
- No guarantee. The Real World’s Terms of Use say it doesn’t guarantee any financial outcome. Every campus starts from the fundamentals and assumes no prior knowledge.

What members said on Trustpilot
Trustpilot has since removed The Real World’s profiles. These excerpts come from archived copies of those pages, read on 25 October 2026, with the reviewer’s first name, country and date as shown; “Invited” is Trustpilot’s label for reviews that came through a business link. The jointherealworld.com.de profile was not run by The Real World; reviewers used it anyway. They are reviews of The Real World as a whole, not of one campus, and other people’s words, not this site’s findings.
“The biggest thing for me, besides the lessons and the professors, is the community. You have a problem, ask a question in chat, fixed in 5 minutes.”
“after a month, I informed them that their services were not suitable for me. Despite my clear communication, they attempted to withdraw a significant amount of money from my credit card for an additional two months.”
The Real World replied: “turn off auto-renew before your next billing date.”
“Most the informaton you could find for free online in other places but you'll spend more time trying to find a simple step by step guide then using this platform.”
“Despite paying $49 per month (around $300 total), I didn't make any money or gain valuable insights. Much of the content was outdated and U.S.-focused”
“the campuses are also perfect if you are completely new to these methods of wealth creation but it'll take you some time before you see results.”
“The courses themselves are okay, but they're difficult to apply, and getting real clients is even harder. Overall, I don't think this works.”
For the record, the scores on 27 February 2025: the profile at trwstudent.com showed 2.9 from 23 reviews, and therealworldeducation.com showed 4.4 from 82, most of them invited through a business link over two days. Both profiles have since been removed.
Is this path for you?
It may suit you if
- You already offer something but it is scattered, and you want one niche and one offer, as Bando did.
- You are willing to reach out to people yourself, on social media and in the DMs.
- You have no degree and want to learn a skill on your own terms. Bando: “self-educated myself”.
It may not suit you if
- You are looking for a Freelancing campus. There is none in the app’s campus list today.
- You expect to start from nothing and match Bando’s two months. Bando was already working before joining, and doesn’t say at what.
- You can only give it the odd hour. The official courses page says “the checklist expects a few focused hours per day” and that “Members who treat it as a side interest see little.”
- You need a guaranteed return. The Real World’s Terms of Use say it doesn’t guarantee any financial outcome, and Bando’s figures are Bando’s own.
Bando’s numbers are one student’s account, in an interview The Real World chose to publish. To compare the campuses on offer today, see the guide to The Real World campuses.
